Privacy Policy

What we collect
When you use Savants, we collect only what's necessary to provide the service:
- Account information: Email address and name from Google or GitHub OAuth. Used for authentication and to contact you about your account.
- Usage data: Which cloud tools you call, timestamps, and response times. Used for billing and to improve the service.
- Payment information: Processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
What we do NOT collect
- Your source code: Local tools (semantic search, file skeleton, callers, where_used) run entirely on your machine. Your code never leaves your device.
- Telemetry: No analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts on the CLI.
- Browsing data: We don't track you across websites.
Cloud tools
When you use cloud tools (diagnose_error, pr_risk, etc.), the query context (error messages, stack traces, diffs) is sent to our API for processing. This data is:
- Processed in real-time and not stored after the response is returned
- Never used for training AI models
- Never shared with third parties
- Transmitted over TLS (HTTPS)
Third-party integrations
When you connect Sentry, Slack, GitHub, or Jira, we store your API tokens encrypted at rest. These tokens are used only to fetch data you've authorized (events, messages, PRs) and can be revoked at any time by deleting the integration.
Data retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active
- Usage logs: retained for 90 days for billing
- Integration tokens: deleted immediately when you remove an integration
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@miguel.engineer.
Data location
Data is stored on Cloudflare's global network (D1 database, Workers KV). Cloudflare is SOC 2 Type II certified.
